A beautiful solo set from the Anticon long termer, which sounds like the album he's been wanting to make for a long time now. With help from like minded folk such as Andrew Broder (Fog), Mike Patton, Jesicca Bailiff and Dosh among others, it's a sublime and at times even slightly unsettling collage of crackly found dialogue, fried and grainy keys, inventive percussion, hefty and clunky drums and some very atmospheric melodies as well. It kind of brings to mind the atmospheres that Boards Of Canada create (lush but slightly eerie) and the looming Godspeed element, built on a foundation of solid hip hop ideals. Anticon heads will know what's up - folks unfamiliar with Anticon will appreciate the diversity - everyone else should check it out! [ NB]
