Despite competing against a shortlist of such incredible nominees as Mogwai, Chvrches and even Boards of Canada, we're so proud to announce that Young Fathers swept the title for 2013's Album of the Year award for their record TAPE TWO. For those unfamiliar with the SAY Awards, its Scotland's most prestigious music prize. A full stream of the awards ceremony can be found at the SAY Awards website, and depending how dialed if you've been to the rise of Young Fathers, it's pretty emotional. We also thought it was super cool when BBC's Janice Forsyth called Anticon a "left-field US electronica empire." Congrats fellas!

Purchase TAPE TWO today on Vinyl/CD/MP3 at our webshop.

Alias' forthcoming LP has already caught the attention of the blog world, most notably by The 405 and Passion of The Weiss. After absorbing the vibes of lead-track "Crimson Across It" featuring our very own Doseone, Nicholas Glover touched on the quality and focus of Alias' new material as a pristine example of anticon's growth. The ever thoughtful Jeff Weiss (of Passion of the Weiss") also had some inspiring words further framing Pitch Black Prism's release as something not to be missed.
