Angel Deradoorian was was recently invited to the Revolt TV headquarters to perform a live version of new single "A Beautiful Woman," and chat briefly about her forthcoming LP. Unlike the live video released last month which found her accompanied by sister Arlene on vocals/percussion, this stripped-down rendition is an entirely solo affair; a pleasantly different experience altogether. Check both the interview and the performance here.

Deradoorian's The Expanding Flower Planet is out August 21 on vinyl/CD/MP3. Physical formats are available for preorder now from our webshop (did you see the gorgeous first vinyl pressing?), and digital preorder can be found over at iTunes.

The wonderful people over at Nylon are almost as excited for the new Deradoorian as we are. They did a cool little write up about our girl and asked her a few questions in anticipation of the upcoming release. Check it out to read Angel's thoughts on sharks, muay thai, and Paris in the 20s.

Don't forget The Expanding Flower Planet comes out August 21st and is available for pre-order now at our web shop!

Our local talented visionary D33J landed himself a short but sweet read on The Fader this week about some know how featuring the Los Angeles area. D33J discusses the nomenclature of "Mid-City" and how his humble upbringing was housed around a "wierd zone with no name". He gives insight as to where he gets his hair done and even some of his favorite inexpensive eatery shops. It's quite a well compiled list of local treasues within the area and we highly suggest you take a loon at the D33J's recomindations. You can find the article here.
